How do I use the cross-chain bridge?
What this tutorial covers
This guide helps you swap assets from one chain to another in DeBox's Cross-chain bridge, and understand how it differs from same-chain Swap and how progress states work.
Scope and prerequisites
- DeBox is open and you are signed in to an active wallet account.
- Source and destination chains must be different. If the destination chain wallet does not exist yet, create it when prompted.
- Supported chains and tokens follow the live page list. Do not rely on outdated lists.
- Cross-chain usually involves multiple steps such as source-chain confirmation and bridge processing. Arrival time varies by network and route.
Before bridging, verify source chain, destination chain, token, and amount. Enabling MEV protection can reduce front-running/sandwich risk on the source chain, but it does not guarantee success. DeBox official support will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key, or PIN.
Steps
1. Open the cross-chain bridge
- Open the swap page (commonly Me → Lab → Swap, or follow the current entry).
- Select the Cross-chain bridge tab at the top (not Swap).
Swap is for same-chain swaps. See How do I use Swap?.
2. Select networks and tokens
- On the From side, select the source chain and token to send.
- On the To side, select the destination chain and token to receive (must differ from the source chain).
- Enter an amount, or use the percentage slider.
- Wait for the cross-chain quote to load.
3. Review fees and settings
In the details, verify items such as:
- Cross-chain / bridge fees (as labeled on the page)
- Estimated source-chain Gas (for broadcasting on the source chain; destination fees may be included in cross-chain fees)
- Slippage limit, price impact, MEV protection, and similar settings
Adjust swap settings as needed. Cross-chain slippage ranges may be stricter than same-chain Swap. Follow the page.
4. Confirm the cross-chain swap
- Tap Cross-chain swap.
- Complete approval first if required. If prompted "Approval complete — tap swap again," tap once more.
- After signing, the page may show an in-progress message (for example, cross-chain swap processing on a chain).
- Track progress in Cross-chain history or Cross-chain details.
Common progress states include: waiting for source-chain confirmation → cross-chain processing → received. You may also see failed, assets returning, or assets returned.

How is this different from same-chain Swap?

What if I see "Cross-chain not supported in this direction"?
Try another chain or token pair, or adjust the amount and retry. Available routes are determined by server-side quotes.
What if balance is insufficient or not enough for network fees?
Ensure sufficient source-chain token balance and reserve enough source-chain Gas (or follow on-page prompts).
Why hasn't it arrived yet?
Cross-chain waits for source-chain confirmation and bridge processing. The page may show elapsed wait time. If it stays incomplete for a long time, keep transaction records and contact official support. Do not blindly resubmit.
What if the quote expired?
Refresh or request a new quote before confirming the swap.
