How do I use Swap?

What this tutorial covers​

This guide helps you complete same-chain token swaps in DeBox: choose sell/buy tokens, confirm quotes, and handle common failures and GasToken prompts.

Scope and prerequisites​

  • DeBox is open and you are signed in to an active wallet account.
  • This tutorial covers same-chain Swap only. The same page also has Cross-chain bridge with different steps. Do not mix them.
  • Before swapping, confirm network, tokens, and amount. On-chain transactions usually cannot be reversed after confirmation.
  • If the page prompts you to open or deposit into GasToken, read How do I use GasToken? first.
Security reminder

Before swapping, verify sell and buy tokens, network fees, and the Minimum received amount. If price impact or token buy/sell tax warnings appear, confirm carefully. DeBox official support will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key, or PIN.

Steps​

1. Open Swap​

Common entry points (follow the current App UI):

  1. Open DeBox and go to Me.
  2. Under Lab, tap Swap; or open a swap/trading page and select the Swap tab at the top.

If both Swap and Cross-chain bridge appear, choose Swap.

2. Select network and tokens​

  1. Select the current network.
  2. Under Sell, select the token to sell and enter an amount (or use on-page percentage options).
  3. Under Buy, select the token to buy.
  4. Wait for the page to quote automatically and show estimated results.

You cannot select the same token for sell and buy.

3. (Optional) Adjust swap settings​

Tap the settings (gear) icon to open Swap settings and adjust as needed:

  • Slippage
  • MEV protection
  • Transaction speed
  • Second confirmation (shows a confirmation dialog for each trade to reduce mistakes)

About slippage: if price moves further against you, the trade may revert. The page shows the guaranteed minimum you will receive (Minimum received).

4. Confirm and complete the swap​

  1. Expand details and verify slippage, network fees, MEV, minimum received, price impact, and similar fields.
  2. Tap Confirm swap.
  3. If second confirmation is enabled, confirm again in the dialog.
  4. Complete signature/approval as prompted. If you see "Approval complete — tap Confirm swap again," tap the main button once more.
  5. View results in progress or history. Open swap details if needed.

If the button shows Open GasToken or Deposit, complete GasToken steps first, then return to swap.

FAQ​

What if the swap fails or shows a slippage error?​

Price may have moved beyond your slippage setting. Retry later, adjust slippage, or reduce the swap amount. Follow the specific error on the page.

What if it says "Insufficient balance"?​

Confirm sell token balance is sufficient. If native Gas or GasToken balance is insufficient, deposit, hold the required network fee, or handle GasToken first as prompted.

What if the quote expired?​

Wait for a new quote, confirm the latest numbers, then tap Confirm swap.

Can I continue if price impact is high?​

The page may warn of a large expected loss. That often means significant value loss from the swap. Confirm carefully, or change the token pair or reduce the amount.

How is this different from Cross-chain bridge?​

Swap is for same-chain swaps. Cross-chain bridge is for cross-chain scenarios. See How do I use the cross-chain bridge?.
